You are looking at a Yamaha AW4416 Digital Audio Workstation.I have used these units since 2005 and I think they are the best in the class of all workstations, and some digital mixers too.The units can record up to 16 tracks of audio at 16 or 24 bit resolution. They can like other units record 'virtual tracks' meaning that your recording capabilities are increased to whatever your imagination allows. They are true professional units with facilities such as WORDCLOCK input and output for synchronising with other digital gear. They also utilise the brilliant Yamaha system of modular cards, which enables the user to configure the machine as they need. If you need 24 analogue inputs, you simply add two MY8-AD cards to the slots on the rear. More outputs needed? Then just buy the card with the type of outputs you require. I have various MY8 cards for sale including ADAT, TASCAM and analogue formats. I also have high quality TASCAM microphone pre-amps available that link digitally to the AW4416 and also the AW2400 which I too have for sale.As I said, I've used these units since 2005 and they're brilliant. I use them for live recording and performance as well as in the studio. Data can be backed up to CD-Rs and the WAV files on the CD-R can be ripped to import into any of the popular software if further editing / mixing is required. This read more
