Up for auction is the crown jewel of Yamaha digital; the amazing DX1. If you are a fan of the DX series then you know what the DX1 is and how rare they are. This particular unit is in nice cosmetic condition and works very well. No issues. We ran it through the full 18 test diagnostic program and everything works well. There are a few minor scratches here and there and I have tried to capture those in the pictures but as you can see it is in overall very nice condition. All of the buttons, switches, sliders, LED's and keyboard work perfectly. The auction also includes the two factory A & B DX1 ROM carts and the EXTREMELY rare Performance cart specifically for the DX1. These are very hard to find. Also included is a photocopy of the Service manual and a photocopy of the Operations Manual. Sorry I didn't have the front cover of the latter one. It will ship in the custom flight case that was built for it. The case has castors. The outside of the case has seen its share of wear-and-tear but the inside foam is in nice condition and will protect the unit very well. This unit has also been registered with the DX1 WIC at the kratzer.at site. This is a worldwide user group/registration site for DX1 owners. If you are looking at this, you probably already know all about it so I won't bore you with a long cut-and-paste page from someone elses website. It is estimated that there were fewer than 150 units made. Many of those were actually shipped as warranty replacements if one was returned so the actual number shipped to the public is estimated by some to be under 100 units. Not sure of that though. I know I don't need to tell you that some are in museums and some are permantly in private collections and that a DX1 rarely comes up for sale. We were proud to have this in our shop/collection for a while, but alas, we are in business to sell vintage gear so it must go. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Because of the rarity of this unit we will ship internationally. However, we have listed this as Not Open To International Bidders. If you have a history of purchasing items such as this, please contact us and we will open the bidding to your id. This is an OVERSIZED shipment. Depending where you are located it will be very expensive to ship. If you are in Europe or Australia it may be close to $1000 USD. We have a local shipper that we use for delicate and oversized units like this. We do not upcharge our shipments. We always list the final sale price as the value for Customs and/or Duty purposes and label the item as Merchandise. Please do not ask us to lower the value or list the item as a "gift". We will not do so. We try to the best of our ability to accurately describe our auctions. Please keep in mind that descriptions on eBay are subjective.
