A really rare pair of coloured ships drinking glasses from mid 1800's. Used on the square rigged sailing boats of the time. Rummer style with slightly smaller bowls and enlarged heavy feet for stability. The colour shows a whitish bloom when viewed in some lights but were probably coloured yellow to add character to the officers table in dimmish light. Both have snapped pontils. One glass has no damage but the other has two chips to the rim ( not suprising considering the use they must have had.) One glass has a slight lean see photo. Between them they weigh 0.8 kilo. Height is 4 inches. Width of foot 3 1/2 inches. Please ask if you require any further details
