Yellow Ware Spice Jar with Lid by Hull Ready to add to your growing collection of quality stoneware is this wonderful Yellow Ware Spice Jar with Original Lid made by the Hull Pottery of Crooksville, Ohio. This beauty was part of a canister set created in the 1930's. The set included spices jars, custard cups, a hanging salt crock, creamer, and covered baking dish. Each piece had the three slip cobalt bands at the top and vertical ribbing at the bottom. Measures 3 1/2" tall. You can see a similar one in Lisa S. McAllister and John L. Michel, Collector's Guide to Yellow Ware, Book 1 , p. 82. Exceptional Condition . A minor 1/16" flake on the very bottom of the base and a half-dozen pinprick-size nibbles on the bottom edge of the lid. Light crazing of age. That's it!
