"Vol. 1 Plat Book of the City of Rochester, New York" 1935 and "Vol. 5 Plat Book of the Environs of Rochester, Monroe County, NY," 1941 These two Plat books are the original 1935 and 1941 atlases consisting of maps from actual surveys and official plans published by G.M. Hopkins Co. out of Philadelphia. Landowners names are shown on the maps along with other identifications of buildings, businesses, schools, churches, hotels, etc. Other places of interest such as parks, cemeteries, bridges, railroads and many, many more. They are both incomplete: The 1935 edition includes the following plates: 9, 12, 15, 15 and 17 along with the Title page, Index map, plan index and street index in it. The 1941 edition includes the following plates: 8, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29 along with Title page, index map, street and plan index.The pages are approximately 34 x 24 inches other than the title pages and index pages that are approximately 24 x 17.Other than the missing pages we rate the overall condition of the plates to be: fair to good and the pages are bound into the original covers. The pages are in good shape with few tears. Some tears have been stabilized with archival tape. The far edges of most pages will have small cuts and tears and the pages can sometimes be described as brittle as is typical of atlases of this read more
