Beautiful porcelain ceramic blue / gray & white dragon guarding his blue ball. Opened mouth with pink tongue extended & teeth barred, you can even feel the scales on the body. Signed by the artist on side of front leg "YOSHIMI K." & dated on the bottom of a back foot "49" . A worn "Made In Japan" sticker is on the bottom. The DRAGON is approximately 8-1/4" long, 3-3/8" wide & stands 5-3/4" high & weighs one pound as pictured. Good vintage condition with NO chips or cracks found. The back foot that has the date has a small rough spot on the outer toenail on the inside. This could have been done during firing w the glaze did not cover it completely & is not very noticeable.
