"Yule Tide" 2-1/2 Quart Covered Casserole Dish by Georges Briard-NEW! Item Description This Casserole Dish has been "rescued" from storage where it was placed immediately after purchase almost 30 years ago. This is brand new and has never been used or displayed. It was in the original sealed shipping box and was removed by me for evaluation and pictures. The Yule Tide pattern was designed by Georges Briard, award winning designer of the 50s, 60s and 70s and was released in 1980. It features an off white background with a green ribbon edge and as the focal point, a Christmas tree decorated with ornaments and a candle in a wreath on top. This casserole dish is a 2-1/2 quart container, oval in shape and approximately 9 inches in length. It has a handle on each end of the bowl and with the handles it extends to about 12 inches long . The cover also has a handle in the center. The bowl itself is decorated with 3 Christmas tress on each side (6 total) with the ribbon style trim along the top edge. The cover has 1 tree on each side of the recessed handle (2 total) and is also trimmed in green ribbon.The base has some minor discoloration around the edges from sitting in the shipping box for 30 years.
