Wonderfully detailed jug from Pennsylvania. The facial features are very realistic. The eyes and lips are especially nice. Has dozens of spiked tufts of "hair". I think the spout represents a tipped hat. I was told that the facial contours were formed from the inside. With the exception of the eyes and lips, it has the Groundhog Pottery "Oil Spill" glaze all over. Looks like the eyes and lips were left unglazed. It stands just over 7" tall at the spout and is roughly 5" wide excluding the ears. It is excellent condition with no damage or repairs of any kind. Please note- this is a 5 DAY auction.
