Zanesville Stoneware Pottery Bungalow Porch Jar This auction is for this very large piece of Zanesville Stoneware...It has a great arts and crafts form. It is fat and bulbous and has a lip at the top as shown. Inside you can see the ringed marks from this being a turned piece It is a large piece measuring approximately 17 1/2 inches tall and 16 inches diameter. It is a thick walled piece of garden ware art pottery. It is very very heavy and by picking it up I estimate it to be 35 to 40 pounds before packing. The large light spots in the photos are glare from lighting. It has no cracks or chips. T are a couple of in the making rough spots right at the base as commonly found on this type of ware. In the photo of the bottom t is a small area that is glazed over and in the making. This is guaranteed to be in the making and is hardly noticeable when displayed. The glaze is a nice combination of a golden mustard color with sea green turquoise colored drips. The overall glaze is pretty clean with hardly any blemishes with the exception of a couple of tiny dimples and wear marks. Bid with Confidence it is a very cclean piece. This is so heavy that is has to be packed extremely well with support.
