Original signed landscape oil painting by one of New Zealand's leading artists, Peter Beadle. The painting, inscribed on back, is of Lake McKenzie and Emily Peak, circa 1977, in his native New Zealand. Painting is approx. 11"x15" and frame without glass is 18" x 22" This beautiful vibrant painting is in excellent condition, with a few snags to the linen part of the surrounding frame. Shipping is $40 but I will refund any overage if it ends up shipping for less. This artist's paintings are much loved and collected and usually sell in the thousands. His work often draws on his home area in Central Otago for subject matter, often including references to the history of the area as a gold-mining area and its rugged mountain scenery. His paintings show the glory of the landscape and environment to which Beadle is obviously attached. Beadle’s paintings are included in many collections public and private, national and international, including LLoyds of London, The Reserve bank, The New Zealand Meat marketing Board and The National Bank. The New Zealand Government recognized Peter Beadle’s service to the arts and conservation in 1999 when he was awarded an ONZM.
