~*#*~ NO RESERVE ~*#*~ Available is a vintage Eva Zeisel designed 1940's ~ Town Country Schmoo RARE Copper Glow glazed ~ Salt OR Pepper single shaker. I am sure you are aware of this glaze color being rarely used on the Town & Country line. This glaze has been "borrowed" from the Quartette dinnerware line glaze colors. This fellow does not have any chips or cracks, it does have age crazing but no discolorations/stains. The glaze coverage on this single shaker is shallow in a few areas. The glaze pooled under the neck & around the base a little (see the close-up image of the bases below.) This auction is for the fellow on the right only in the images below of both together. He is still wonderful as you can see - I mention all for accuracy. Shaker has 3 pour holes, a stopper & stands 4 3/8" tall. When you are lucky enough to come across a set of Quartette glazed schmoos, they are found in the large size as a set. It is virtually impossible to find a small Quartette glazed shaker. This is just the way these sets w produced. Also, the difference between Copper glow & Rust is very subtle. Copper glow is a creamy soft color w as Rust is a bolder sharper colored glaze. This gem will be RARE welcome addition to your mid century modern collection. I have his mate listed on another auction if you are interested. Schmo or Shmoo ~*#*~ NO RESERVE read more
