Zeiss Ikon Tenax II with f/2.0 4cm Sonnar This is one of the great Zeiss Ikon cameras. This camera takes square photos - 24mm x 24mm - using standard 35mm film. That means you get about 50 photos, give or take a few, with each roll of film. The camera is very clean. There is some brassing of some of knobs and controls. Keep in mind that this camera was made in the late 1930s. The leather has been reconditioned and treated and is very clean. The viewfinder is clean and easy to use, and the rangefinder prisms are in good condition. It is very easy to focus this camera. This comes with an uncoated Sonnar lens, which has excellent character. It has some light cleaning marks on the front lens element. However, it's a very usable lens, as long as you are aware of where the light source is in your photo. See the attached photos that I took with this lens. I used this lens for more than a decade and haven't had any problems with it. The focus is very smooth, and of course there is no fungus or mold. This camera has been restored. All of the shutter speeds run correctly. The film advance is smooth, and the self-timer works. I have made one minor modification of this camera. I placed craft foam on the outside edges of the main viewfinder glass to provide a better seal against the elements. This camera is usable out of the box. It read more
