This Zeiss Stand III 'jug handle' microscope is in excellent optical mechanical, and cosmetic condition. It is made from brass, the foot is finished in a textured black crackle, the remainder in black or natural lacquers. Coarse focus is by rack & pinion, fine by double milled wheels and micrometer screw - the Berger micrometer screw fine focus. The body tube has a calibrated draw, and a triple changer engraved for Zeiss. The circular rotating stage is fitted with a good Zeiss 'Large Mechanical Stage No 44' which is numbered 4589 . The focusing substage assembly comprises an Abbe condenser and iris diaphragm with lateral adjustment by rack & pinion. T is an excellent plano-concave mirror. T are five eyepieces marked Zeiss 2 x5, Baker x5 Micrometer, Watson Holos x7, Zeiss Kompens Okular x8, and Zeiss Kompens Okular 12. The five objectives are all by Zeiss and are 1/12 Homogene Immersion, 4 mm with correction collar, 8 mm Apochromat, 'aa', and 'A'. T is a fine fitted case with working lock and the trademark 'Z' key. It measures 15 x 8 x 8 inches and weighs 9.4 kg. The microscope is located in the UK w shipping & handling will be £15 for a two day delivery. Shipping to the USA will cost about £60 ($120). Shipping to Europe will be £40-50. No reserve.
