Up for auction is a gorgeous pair of Zeiss-Stereo Opera Field Glasses Power 4 dated June 22,1897. No doubt these glasses have seen many operas in their day but were obviously lovingly cared for by t owner. Includes original leather case and triple grosgrain ribbon strap. I don't know anything about Opera glasses but these are really neat! The binoculars have heart-shaped ends. Also marked Bausch & Lomb Optical Co. New York, Rochester, N.Y. Chicago. The binoculars measure 5 1/8". The leather case is worn but the inside blue cushioned velvet is in excellent condition with no tears.
