This beautiful hand rubbed pecan finish musical cabinet is from The Bombay Company. It was made in 1992 and contains dozens of small steel bearings, a magnetic plate in the ceiling and 3 lovely zen chime tubes. You turn the unit upside down causing dozens of ball bearings to stick to the magnetic ceiling. The bearings have cleverly been made to have different levels of iron in them so that they do not all fall off the roof at the same time, they fall off at all DIFFERENT times during your day! This provides a soothing soft intermittent chime action all day long (without batteries). The "speaker" holes in each side of the cabinet allow the sound to carry out into the room. Cabinet is like new, measures 9"W x 6" x 6". T is glass in the front and rear so that you can see the chimes and the bearings. This is a really nice accent item for home or office.Weight 5 lb.
