ZENITH CONSOLE VINTAGE TUBE RADIO FROM THE 50's I came from Germany in 1982 to live in Naples, Florida on the Gulf of Mexico. I'm a Shoemaker and bought a shoe repair shop and also a place in a Trailer Court from the retiring owner. I bought lots of the houshold items including this old Zenith Radio and since that time I'm the owner.I gave it lots of TLC and had some good times with it. It works excellent. I sold the shoe repair shop in 1989 and moved to Red Wing, Minnesota. At this time I got hired at the Red Wing Shoe Company. I retired in January, 2004 and moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin. This Radio is still working very well, but I'm going back to Germany in the beginning of 2008 and I'm selling things that I can't take with me. This is a Zenith Console Model 6S656 and I guarantee everything works perfectly. This unit has the Zenith Rotor Wavemagnet which was kind of sensational at that time.It measures: 3 feet 4 inches tall, 2 feet wide and 1 foot deep.This console has 2 little marks, almost not visible but I've made pictures of them. Picture #11 small scratch, picture #12 small tear in canvas.Starting $99.00 No Reserve. Insurance optional.Just a word on the shipping charges.If you want to pick up the Radio Console it is ok with me.I also have found out that the Greyhound Company doescharge just about 1/2 of what UPS is charging. It could be interestingif you have a Greyhound STOP or Greyhound Station nearby.A collector just wrote me new information on this model.Hi, just to help: Your Zenith 6-S-656 is actually from 1942, I hadone just like it but mine wasn't in as nice of condition as yours.
