ZenithRoyal 84AM/FM/PSBPortable Radio DESCRIPTION G reeting Transistor Radio enthusiasts! You are looking at a nice clean example of a Zenith AM/FM/PSB transistor radio, the Royal 84. This radio delivers all the style, sturdy construction and performance that radio enthusiasts know to expect from a Zenith. It's 13-transistor & 1 IC circuit and 4" Foster speaker provides for good sensitivity and selectivity on AM (530-1640 KHz), FM (87.5-108.5 MHz), PSB (142-174 MHz, which includes Weather Band); a pleasant tuning feel; and a powerful and impressive sounding audio. All controls are located on the front of the radio. Volume, and tone, and squelch are adjusted with rotary controls. The squelch control makes it possible to set incoming signal thresholds for PSB Band. The four-position rotary Band Selector Switch includes AM, FM, FM with AFC and PSB. To illuminate the dial, t is a "Dial-Lite" button on the left side of the dial. Also on the left side of the dial is a large Signal Strength Meter, to aid in accurate tuning. An earphone jack is located on the right side of the case. A sturdy retracting handle on the top of the radio makes for easy carrying. The radio can be operated from AC, or 4 x C batteries.
