This auction is for a vintage Zenith Royal D7000Y TRANS-OCEANIC Transistor radio. Chassis # 500 MDR 70. This is true American classic -it could only be made in USA in the glorious fifties - stunning built quality and performance. This radio is in good working condition. Excellent performer - sensitive, pulls in a lot of stations on all bands. Sounds BIG. Inside is clean, no corrosion. Lights for dial scale are fine. Light on the front panel, located under the black revolving cover works fine (rare on this model). For light to perform you have to install one additional "D" 1.5V battery (last on the bottom right). Radio works from mains (improvised cord included) or 9 "D" batteries (not included). Top cover on the front is missing. Other than that, radio in good used shape - some rubbing marks and scratches on the surface, chrome plating has some wear. Lower cover has pocket with recommendations. Everything opens and closes smoothly, including very long telescopic antenna, located in the radio's handle. Thank you for your interest.
