NEW INFORMATION BELOWBeautiful Zeus track bike, fixed-gear. 54 cm X 54 cm. Near-mint condition; I would say museum-quality condition as to both frame and components. I bought it in about 1983, in St.Louis, and it was vintage then when I rode it on the track. Estimate late 60's or early 70's build. Search "Greg Overton Classic Corner" for some history on Zeus. Has not been ridden since about 1987 and has been well protected. All Zeus components except for handlebars (which are Cinelli). 32-spoke wheels front and back (which was somewhat exotic even in the 80's when I rode it). Crankset and chainring are particularly amazing. Cranks stamped Zeus Spain. Ring stamped Pista and 48 (48 tooth). Arms are 170 mm (built for pursuit and points race rather than match sprints, which would typically have 165 mm arms). 32 hole hubs are beautiful, mirror-finish alloy (stamped Zeus). Even all the tiny bits are stamped Zeus (e.g., seat binder bolt, headset parts, chainring bolts, fork crown). Pedals show some use but still look good (chrome toe clips do have some rust, but that's the only component like that). Plastic Ideale saddle with tension adjustment nut. Frame size 54 cm center of BB to center top tube. The paint is original blue metallic and is particularly beautiful. Cutouts everywhere: on lugs, fork crown, bottom bracket. I have not touched, or touched-up, anything. I have resisted doing any restoration, even though I wanted to touch up the white paint in the cutouts, which have a touch of messiness about them from the original hand-painting. Decals are all original. Tires have long since been unusable, so I will leave new tubulars to you. Tape on top tube protected frame from handlebars when transporting to the track.Pictured with the Cinelli 120mm stem I required for riding (the Cinelli stem is broken at the handlebar binder). Original stem, in isolated photo, stamped Forja 100 (I believe that means "forged" in Spanish), has 100mm extension.I will pay a respected bike shop to pack it professionally in a premium box (value $100). Buyer responsible for all shipping and insurance costs and international customs duties (ebay shipping quote appears to be for ground shipping to continental US; cost will be greater if shipping overseas, etc.). On shipping costs, I've gotten a lot of questions about shipping to various parts of the world and U.S., and can't quite field them all. I can say that the dimensions will be 53 X 8 X 29, which puts it right under "oversized" or "freight." Feel free to figure out your shipping costs and company, etc. It is not my intent to make any money off the buyer on shipping, so we can work together to get the lowest cost consistent with good service/safety, etc. Re: questions about Zeus 2000 components. No, this bike does not have them. Oddly, the fork crown is stamped "Zeus 2001." But I believe the drilled-out and titanium-ized Zeus 2000 components came out much later than this vintage. These components are designed just like Campagnolo Nuovo Record, which came before its Super Record.SHIPPING NOTE: If you are outside the U.S., do not go by the ebay shipping costs under the shipping tab. I don't know what is wrong with the tab, but I do know it is not over a thousand U.S. dollars to ship this bike to Europe. Australia is under $450, and Thailand is about $400. That should give you some idea. Go to whatever shipping company you want to use and calculate your estimated costs by using U.S. postal code 27713 (Durham, North Carolina) and box dimensions 53" X 8" X 29" and 30 pounds.
