Details about this reproduction Zippo 1. This Zippo lighter has not been used nor has the factory seal been broken! 2. It is the exact reproduction of the first Zippo model produced in 1933( look at the inscription stamped into the bottom of the lighter( picture#2) 3. The lighter is surrounded by 3 packaging methods; Outer box;outer silver metal container; black velvet tight inner fitted packaging 4. Exterior hinges, just like the original 1933 Zippo The box says the following: The first Zippo lighters were fabricated from rectangular metal tubing. These early lighters had square corners and were stamped on the bottom: "Zippo Pat. Pending". Today Zippo is proud to present this replica based on the design of the first production. Its authenticity is assured with the inscription on the bottom: " 1933 ".4. Examine the photos I took. This is the first time to lighter has been out of the box. I believe this replica was produced in 2000 or 20015.
