ZIS-150 Soviet Army Truck - 1/43rd Scale DIP/Spark Model. Approximately 5.5 inches in length. Comes in a plastic windowbox.DIP models are produced for the Russian market by Spark. They offer same high level of detail collectors have come to expect from the Spark brand.ZIS-150 (from 1956 - ZIL-150) is the soviet cargo truck, produced in the period from 1947 till 1957 year. In 1957 was substituted by ZIL-164, being in fact the upgraded ZIL-150.ZIS-150 was expected to substitute ZIS-5 even in the late 30-s. Experimental samples of the new truck, named ZIS-15 were built by Stalin Auto Factory in 1938. The car had three-seat all metal cabin, new chassis, and upgraded 82 h.p. engine. The outbreak of the WWII put aside this program for a long period of time. Only in 1944 new samples, named ZIS-150, had been built on the Stalin Auto Factory.First lot of ZIS-150 trucks was released on 30 October 1947. Since pre-war tests had shown insufficient engine power it was increased up to 95 h.p. with 2800 rpm. For the first time in the soviet auto history several innovations had been used in the design of this car. Among them were five-speed gear box and pneumatic brake.
