(No cracks, No chips) Size Sake cup : Dia. 2.3"(5.8cm) x H 1.3" (3.3cm) Sake bottle : Dia. 2.6"(6.5cm) x H 5.4"(13.8cm) Quantity 1 Sake bottle & 2 Sake cups Description of item This is a set of Japanese Sake bottle & Sake cups of Satsuma ware, which was made about 70-80 years ago. Flowers are hand-painted on each Sake cup & Sake bottle. The signature of the pottery is written on the bottom of the bottle. Satsuma ware originated when the Shimazu prince of the Satsuma domain in southern Kyushu abducted skilled Korean potters after Toyotomi Hideyoshi's Japanese Invasions of Korea to establish a local pottery industry. After display at the international exhibition in Paris in 1867, it proved popular as an export to Europe .
