Up for auction is a beautiful Italian, 4 sheet (a massive 55"x78" approx) cinema/theatrical poster for George Romero's classic 1978 film DAWN OF THE DEAD (under the Italian title of ZOMBI).This poster of this size, and art work, rarely comes up for auction on eBay. It is very RARE. Did I say it's RARE?PLEASE READ AUCTION DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY!Overall condition of this poster is VERY GOOD/EXCELLENT.Poster is FOLDED (as are posters of this size and vintage). It is an original, vintage poster and NOT a reproduction.Colors are vibrant and not faded on the simply stunning artwork. There are some tape marks around the white border, and some minor tears and minor wear on the edges and on the folds (PLEASE SEE AUCTION PICTURES for more information). But as you can see in the pictures, it is in overall very good/excellent condition for a poster of this age.A four sheet Italian poster is typically issued in two halves (approx. 22.5" x 39" halves) - however, the theater that displayed it this poster glued the two halves together -- and put them together quite well. As you can see from the pictures, though the white border doesn't quite line up, the artwork looks perfectly lined up (again, see auction pictures for more information). Also, the theater put a sticker across the poster - essentially is says "no-one under 18 years old admitted". read more
