This auction is for allthree Hardcover Volumes of Scott McCloud’s Zot , published by Kitchen Sink between1997 and 1998. Each copy is a First Printing. Volumes 2 and 3 additionally each contain a glued-in bookplate, which has been signed and numbered by Scott McCloud. Volume 2 is #56 of 500 and Volume 3 is #268 of 500 . Each of these 3 books was read once, bagged in Mylar and shelved in my climate-controlled, smoke-free, pet-free home. These 3 books haves not been out of their Mylar bags again until I removed them for the photos and scans in this listing. Publication prices for the unsigned editions of these 3 volumes were $55.00 for Volume 1 and $34.95 each for Volumes 2 and 3 ($124.90 in all). Each book has crisp, white, perfectly flat pages. I put on white gloves to gently leaf through each of these book and cannot find a single page with a mark, crease, or any other indication that they have ever been handled before. The photos and scans show the condition of the books . I can’t imagine that there can be many copies of these books in more pristine condition!!! I’ve included “ meticulous-care” and “ all-in-mylar” signs in 5 of the photographs, so it is clear that these are NOT stock photos and that these particular copies are in my possession. The scans provide even crisper images. Each scan has been done with a black cloth ( instead of the heavy scanner cover) placed over the book to improve the image without risking damage to the book. These books will be packed with EXTRA care as part of the quoted shipping price. They will each be individually sandwiched between sheets of heavy cardboard that are larger than the book, and then surrounded with packing peanuts and shipped in a reinforced oversized box. After carefully preserving these 3 books for 15 years, I’m not going to ship them without doing my best to ensure their protection. PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER AUCTIONS!!
