This BEAR fetish was carved by Native American EMERY ERIACHO from APPLE CORAL . I purchased this carving from Emery during my April visit to the Zuni Reservation in New Mexico. The artist has enhanced the fetish with turquoise arrowhead, turquoise nugget, branch coral and heishi. Emery has also inlaid turquoise for the eyes. The bear is associated by Native Americans with great strength, healing and the power of introspection . This fetish measures 1 5/8" long, 7/16" wide and 1 1/8" high.
