This is a great medicine bear that Zuni fetish carver Kenny Chavez carved from a beautiful piece of Boulder opal. This piece of Boulder opal has layers of shades of tan, camel and brown throughout the stone. Kenny has added a silver heartline that is inlaid along one side of the bear. The bear has silver eyes, too. The use of silver in fetishes is typical of Kenny's fetishes. Kenny has signed the bottom of the fetish with his name in script. The bear is 2 5/8" long, and 1/2" wide and 1 1/2" tall. The bear is the protective animal of the West. He is strong, has introspection and the power of the soul.
