Zuni Pueblo Indian Fetish Carving Frog with Inlaid Black Marble Spots by Gordon Poncho Our fetishes are handmade in New Mexico by Native American artists. This one-of-a-kind frog is carved from dolomite by Zuni artist Gordon Poncho . Frogs are associated with water and rain. Frog asks the spirits to bring abundant rain. They are also a fertility fetish. Women often keep a frog fetish by their bed when hoping to become pregnant. Frogs represent the cycle of life. This frog has inlaid black marble spots and measures 1" long, 0.9" wide and 0.3" tall . The artist has carved his name on the bottom. Beautiful stone!
