Zuni Pueblo Indian Fetish Carving Traditional Picasso Marble Bobcat by Marnella KucateOur fetishes are handmade in New Mexico by Native American artists.
This traditional bobcat fetish was made from Picasso marble by Zuni carver Marnella Kucate . The bobcat is thought of as the older brother to the wolf and the younger brother of the mountain lion. It is the hunting animal of the South and is used by the Zuni when hunting antelope. Bobcat represents clairvoyance and is a secret keeper. This bobcat fetish, with an arrowhead bundle, measures 2" long, 1.3" tall and 0.6" wide . The artist has carved her signature "Kucate" on the bottom. Beautiful old style fetish!
