ZUNI ROCHELLE QUAM NAJERA BOULDER OPAL RAVEN FETISH

This is a wonderful double raven fetish that Zuni, Rochelle Quam Najera carved from boulder opal. The opal section of this stone flows along the entire right side of the raven including his beak and wing. Boulder opal is not a common carving material, this is a lovely use for the stone. Rochelle is the wife of Zuni fetish carver, Esteban Najera and the detail on these ravens is similar to the detail one finds on Esteban's fetishes. The fetish is 1/2" long, 1" tall and 3/4" wide. Rochelle has signed the bottom of the raven with her initials, RQN. A raven is an animal of mystery and exploration of the unknown. A raven is also one of two fetishes that the Zuni believe are healing animals. The cost for shipping and handling is $4.00.
