Ordinarily, we sell only antique clocks. However, during the years when we sold clocks in a shop on the square in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, we added a line of Civil War era hand guns that appealed to the many tourists and visitors to that historic town. After closing our sales at the Gettysburg shop, we had this absolutely wonderful little Derringer pocket pistol in our inventory. So that's why it is included here with our antique clocks listings. Don't let this one pass you by! It's simply a wonderful little gun. This excellent condition Williamson's Patent, single-shot 41 caliber "Derringer" was made in New York in the pre-Civil War era. The 2 1/2" barrel slides forward for loading. You rarely find one in this condition of excellence. A REALLY GREAT find! And now priced very close to our original purchase amount in order to finalize that chapter in our Gettysburg business life when we included firearms with the clocks. WARNING: Although in working condition, this antique firearm is intended for collectible display purposes only and should not be loaded or fired, at risk of serious injury. If you like or collect antique firearms, this one will be among the best--perhaps the VERY best in your collection!!! NOTE: The law permits us to sell and ship antique firearms without a permit or registration. By the same token, the buyer does not need a permit either. We will ship this fine handgun by third day delivery to the buyer. This item will not be sold or shipped outside the continental United States.
