This Week In Geek 4/16
Welcome back to This Week in Geek, your weekly guide to the wilds of a new comic day and where I try to give you a little insight into what nerds, like myself, are reading and collecting.
The Comic Speculator: Simonson’s Thor
Last Sunday was perfect. The weather was beautiful and so my niece, my two dogs and myself were on our way to the dog park when I received a phone call.
The Comic Speculator: G.I. Joe
Online fan sites have leaked pictures of stunt-man and martial-artist Ray Parks in full Snake Eyes garb while filming the G.I. Joe movie. The film won’t be released until August 2009, so images of the black-clad, sword-bearing ninja supreme sent nerds everywhere into a fit.

The end of the “Action Comics” Superman Legion tie-in hit today, along with new issues of both “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Angel”. Did I forget to mention a little Marvel Comics crossover called “Secret Invasion”?

It’s New comic Wednesday and time for another This Week In Geek New Comic Round Up! Not a terribly heavy week, but there was still plenty of fun stuff waiting for me on the new comic shelves.
The Comic Speculator
Welcome back to the Comic Speculator, where each week I talk about affordable collector comics that may not be undervalued for long. This week, I’ll be discussing Silver Age comic legend Jack Kirby’s early works for DC comics.
