The Manhattan estate of Ruth Einstein Wilner included many interesting and unusual items. Mrs Wilner who passed away at age 100 had been married to J. Alfred Wilner who was a civic minded fair labor lawyer. Mrs.Wilner was an art collector and lifetime civil rights activist. The Einstein family had been prominent in the Pittsburg area for well over 100 years. This auction is for a collection of what seems to be a least 1000 vintage photographs that were part of the estate. Most appear to be extended family photos although there are others such as several of Monsignor Charles Owen Rice of Pittsburg who was active in both the American labor movement and the 1960's civil rights movement. Included in the auction are 2 vintage family photo albums. Also included are newspaper photo's of Einstein & Wilner family members. The second picture is a 1956 front page obituary of Ruth Wilner's 96 year old father. There are many different types and sizes of photographs. Picture 6 is a group of early family photos that are postcards on one side. Picture 7 is a group of some of the cdv's some with tax stamps on the back. Most of the snapshots date from the 1930's to the 60's. I believe this collection will be of interest to those who value vintage photographs. This lot of photographs weigh approximately 20 lbs. I am starting this auction at $29.9
