This auction features a Complete 12 piece place setting of Sterling Flatware. The set has 109 pieces, and was made by ALVIN SILVER COMPANY, in the "CHAPEL BELLS" Pattern. The set comes in its original flatware box, and has no monogram.It was recently purchased from the estate of its original owner. This pattern was rendered in 1939, the pieces are very heavy and solid.The piece to the set are: 12 dinner knives-9 1/2" , 11 dinner forks-8", 14 salad forks-6 1/2", 12 teaspoons-6", 12 round bullion spoons-6 1/4", 12 individual butter spreaders-5 3/4",12 long iced tea spoons-7 1/2", 14 demi tasse spoons-4 1/4", a pea serving spoon-7 3/4", a jelly spoon-6 1/4", an olive fork-5 3/4", 3 large serving spoons-8 1/2", a gravy ladle-6", a sugar spoon-6", a nut spoon-4 1/2", a meat fork-7 3/8", and a flatware box. Almost all of the 12 place settings consists of 8 separate pieces-see photo.T are 10 individual Serving pieces-see photo.This set is in excellent condition.It has been closed up in the box for decades, and is even still shiny. Curiously, one of the dinner knives has had its tip broken off-see photo.No other major scratches, dings, dents, damage, or repairs. No reserve on this auction.
