12 string vintage 1970s Kimbara guitar with strap.

This guitar was a Christmas gift, bought for me when I was a student in the mid 1970s. I moved over to classical guitar some years ago so this instrument has not been played for some time. It has a small superficial scratch on the base and a tiny chip at the tip of the peg board (just visible in the photograph), but is in otherwise superb condition. It has been restrung ready for sale. The strap dates back to the late 1970s but is still in good condition. The fabric is either wool or wool imitation with a synthetic backing. The attachment points to the instrument are made of leather. The inscription on the manufacturers original label reads: 'Kimbara. Specially made in Japan for FCN-London. Model number 72.' The serial number (also visible on the label) is 45042.
