Great lot of WWII photographs taken in Europe by Captain J F Humphrey . Nearly all photographs are stamped on the back "APPROVED J F Captain Humphrey - Not for Publication." Some photos are captioned on front. Many have captions on the back. Photos of bombed out buildings, countrysides in Europe, London and Paris in 1944. My favorites are of a GI reading a newspaper with the headline "VICTORY" on VE Day and the flag flying at half-mast with the caption on the back "FDR died today". Other notable captions include: Tombeau du Soldst Inconnu Buzz Bomb Shelling in Germany 1945 Buzz Bomb destroyed 3 homes German Airplane Wings Lady & Sprout (two dogs) Enghein France Paris September 1944 Eiffel Tower Hollen Zilleron Bridge Cologne Germany May 1945 Eighme France 1944 PX in Leige May 1945 Hill Looking into Germany 1945 Joe Brocky Durham Germany 1944 House Hit by Buzz Bomb Buzz Bomb 1945 16th General Hospital, Liege, Belgium Red Cross Club 1945 luxemberg Luxemberg Sept 1945 Luxemberg toward the cafe Road in Germany In route to paris Brussels Bridge over Meuse River Liege Liege 1945 River Muses New Bridge Luxemberg Iron and Steel Mine offices, Luxemburg Liege Modern House Muse, Liege Metz, 1945 Metz Arc de Triumph, Oct 1945 Charlamaigne Leige, 1945 Railroad station Metz Moselle River, Metz Rue Liberty, Luxemburg France Chateau in Leige
