12th Century Chinese Painting on Silk Men Gazing Waterfall John M. Crawford Jr.

This painting was bought at an estate sale and is noted as being from the collection of John M. Crawford Jr. (avid collector of Chinese antiquities). In 1981 Mr. Crawford gave 60 works of Chinese paintings and calligraphy (estimated then to be worth 18 million dollars) to the New York Metropoliton Museum. A reliable auction house told us that this is an old reproduction of a Song Dynasty (960-1279) painting. The frame mesures 14 3/4 inches square. We will refund if you are not satisfied with this item.
