15th Century Illuminated Latin Choir Book Leaf

Exquisitely Illuminated leaf from a noted collectarium on vellum in Latin, Paris, France, ca. 1400-1425.

Either 4-line red music staves recto and verso, bar borders with burnished gold ivy leaves. 2 & 3 line painted red and blue capitals highlighted in white on burnished gold backgrounds or textual only. Extremely refined angular gothic script in black ink. The red lined staves with square black neumes. Guaranteed original of the period. Size: 95 x 66 mm
