This is an exquisite antique reproduction black fashion doll from a Bell Ceramics mold. Her facial features, painting and hands are very distintive of the Bru models. She is a great size at 16 inches. Her body is leather (does have 2 small spots) but overall good condition. Her arms are not stuffed well and could use more stuffing as are her ankle areas but the body is well stuffed/shaped. The bisque head swivels on the shoulderplate in the cup and saucer style and are perfect with no damages or repairs. She was painted by a black doll artist who really captured the golden, brozey skin tones so often missing in other dolls of color and the features are materfully done. She is signed on the neck by Donna L. Jackson and dated 1997. She has asynthetic black wig, very long and curly over a buckrahm pate. She has brown glass paperweight eyes and porcelain lower arms and hands. She only requires a lovely costume to showcase her beauty.
