5.5 x 7.5 inch (14 x 19 cm) fully hand colored copper-plate engraved map from a 1628 edition of Mercator's ATLAS MINOR that also has Hondius' name on the title page along the with notation that the atlas was published in Amsterdam by 'Ioannis Ianssonii'. Condition is VG+. Color is modern. Verso Latin text discussing Palatinatus Rheni

North to the top; covers the area between 49 and 50 degrees North. Parts of Wirtenbergenis Ducatus, Lotharingia and Alsatiae shown. Rhine River from just above Mainz (Mentz) to just below Graben. Heidelberg (Hydelberg) as well as numerous other cities & towns shown. Above Worms (Worbms) t is noted a "Rhinturckheun" which appears to be a large fortification or wall
