1742 English Infantry Hanger Sword 1700s French & Indian War Period Pattern

Up for auction is what I believe is a 1742 British/English Infantry Hanger Sword/Saber. It has a French & Indian War Period pattern and was likely provided by the British to American colonists in the mid-1700s.
The blade, hilt, grip, etc. all appear to be original. No parts or pieces are missing. There are no inscriptions or writings on any part of the sword. There is a fair amount of rusting and some pitting on the blade. The hilt/grip show signs of wear. It may have even been used in combat/war. The hilt is a little loose on the sword. The sword has been in my family for quite some time and has been in smoke-free and dry storage for many years. The sword has never been cleaned or fixed or otherwise maintained. There is no scabbard.
Please see the photos to judge the quality of the sword for yourself.
