1757 Acts & Laws Province of Massachusetts Bay "Governor's Grant Acts and Laws passed by the Great and General Court or Assembly of His Majesty's Province of the Massachusetts-Bay in New England; Begun and held at Boston upon Wednesday the twenty-fifth Day of May 1757; and continued by Prorogations to the sixteenth Day of August following and then met. " 18 pages of early laws of Massachusetts. Pages appear to have been bound into a larger volume at some time. Pages are numbered 301 thru 318. These pages consist of 5 acts published September of 1757. Some of the topics dealt with are that persons are forbidden to drive cattle on beaches between Wells and Ogunquit and fines for mowing the beaches at Wells. At this time the state of Maine was still part of Massachusetts. Also there is lots of details on bankrupts and their creditors. Pages measures aprox. 7.75" x 11.5". Printed British Royal Seal at top center. Printing slightly askew on pages. These pages have survived for over 250 years in very good condition. Minor stain along left edge. Light foxing.
