Here is a very attractive and genuine PCGS Currency graded Continental American Revolution era Currency note for $40 dated September 26, 1778.
Features vignette of the rays of an all-seeing Eye of Providence shining on 13 stars. CONFEDERATION below. The reverse shows a woodcut of carrot leaves (an anti-counterfeiting device), Forty DOLLARS at the top, and " Printed by HALL and SELLERS. 1778" below. Serial # 27588 . Signed by Continental officials Robert Cather and Joseph Walter.

"The UNITED STATES" along left and right borders. "Continental Currency" along top and bottom borders. It reads:

"Forty Dollars. This Bill entitles the Bearer to receive Forty Spanish milled DOLLARS, or th e Value ther eof i n Gold or Silver, according to a Resolu tion passed by Congress at Philadelphia , Sept. 26th, 1778."

An attractive note with good detail that has been graded FINE 12 by PCGS Currency. No pinholes.
