Second edition, parallel English and French texts, 4to, 300 x 220 mm, 11¾ x 8¾ inches, coloured frontispiece showing Scheme of Colours, 1 uncoloured and unnumbered plate and 50 tissue guarded hand coloured plates, each with many images, engraved English title page opposite frontispiece, followed by typographical title page in French dated as in all copies, 1786, pages (4), 166, (4) - index, bound in full antique calf, rebacked to style with gilt raised bands, floral tool in compartments and gilt lettered morocco label.

Condition

Covers a little worn at corners and lower edges, 5 small light marks next to spine left by old tape used to repair spine, old bookplate
