Dated M.DCCC.L (1850) at the bottom of the title page. Complete with fine velvet lined leather case. Church Services and New Testament included in the book. The book is bound in fine quality deep maroon velvet, with a gilt shield ' Church Services ' on the front. There is a brass clasp to secure the book closed, which is in perfect working order, and brass edges to the covers. It comes complete with a leather maroon velvet lined carry case, which has a maroon silk ribbon inside which is used to pull the book from the case. The book measures approximately 5" x 3.5" x 1.5" thick (127mm x 90mm x 39mm), and weighs 327g.unpacked. All three of the closed page edges have a stunning and detailed gauffered edge design. The book is in a superb, near mint condition, and the case is in excellent condition too, with just a little surface rubbing, but no damage, splits or tears.
