Containing exolicit directions for THE TREATMENT OF DISEASE, The Management of Accidents, and THE PRESERVATION OF HEALTH By John A. Tarbell, A.M., M.D. Third Edition, BOSTON, Otis Clapp, 3 Beacon Street. 1859. The next page says: SAMUEL GREGG, M.D., M.M.S.S. The First Physician of the "Old School" who advocated THE CAUSE OF HOMEOPATHY IN NEW ENGLAND, This Little Book is Respectfully Inscribed, in Acknowledgment of Much Kindness Received from Him, by THE AUTHOR, Boston, May 1, 1856. The book measures 7-3/8" by 5-1/8". It's brown cloth with gold title letters. T are 360 clean pages (no tears). The top of the outside spine is somewhat scuffed and t's a 1/4" by 1-1/4" strip of the brown paper missing on the bottom of the spine. The pages are tight and in good condition. The whole book is in good condition for being 149 years old. T are too many topics in the contents to list. Just to wet your appetite, a few ot the topics are: list of remedies, causes of diesease, symptoms of disease, treatment of disease, on the administration of medicine, regulation of the diet. Every disease imaginable is in this book. Guaranteed an interesting read for anyone.
