1859, October 31, E. Justh Assay Office Memorandum of Gold Bullion received from Folsom, California Wells Fargo & Company agent C. T. H. Palmer. Gold valued at $1183.61. Excellent condition measuring 5 1/4" X 10 3/4".E. Justh Assayer was the successor to the firm of Justh & Hunter Assayers, whose gold bars figured large in the huge gold hoard recovered from the 1857 wreck of the Steamship Central America. Just imagine the coins that were minted from this gold.Shipped USPS first class mail. California residents add 8.5% sales tax.
