Antique handmade sheet copper that has been cut, bent and soldered to form a Civil War era copper coffee cup of classic & traditional form with it's original folded edge handle and sipping rim, tin plated interior, old polished and lacquered exterior and retaining it's original old oxidized and age toned surface, as found. Maine , 1860's, possibly earlier. Guaranteed old and original; this is not a fake or reproduction. Actual weight 3/4 lbs. 4 1/8" base diameter, 2 3/4"tall by 6" from rim edge to hand tip. We are careful to avoid argumentative situations when purchasing an estate and the two copper vessels we list today needed to be carefully treated as we negotiated the estate contents with the old matron. Both were on display on one of her relic shelves in her preferred room called the "TV den", a room from which we are continuing to list the matron's family relic plunder.
