Heavily damaged green insulator from around 1865. We dug a few of these back a couple years in St Louis Mo. The bottles and pottery in this dump area were all dated from around 1858-1865 or thereabouts. Their were several wood caps with a bold rim on top(wood) on these-- some were to damaged and we already sold the other ones. No embossing --chipped badly on side as pics show and base rim is only 20% there. One good displying side except for bottom rim. Dome is near perfect. light green color. Part of the threaded wood pin remains but shrank a little- is original. I added pics (outside lighting) to show the true color of green. On the left of listed insulator is an example of a basic dark aqua one and on the right is a green aqua insulator-various angles. I guess it's a lighter grass green. Thanks and I hope this helps your requests.
