1880's High Wheel Penny Farthing Bicycle Cabinet Card Photo Newton, Mass.

Offered for your consideration:
A very nice and rare original Penny Farthing High Wheel Bicycle Cabinet card. Photographed by the Arthur A. Glines photography studio in Newton Massachusetts. Circa 1880-1910.This particular bicycle rider also appears to be an early New England baseball player. He has the early shoe string baseball shirt and what appears to be an early baseball belt and cleats. I am not familiar with the type of hat he is wearing. He is part of the Newton Mass. Arthur A. Glines collection, so it is quite possible to be an early Boston Red Sox player, or Boston Red Stocking player. There is some expected scuffing, scratches and staining. There is some scotch tape on the back of the card. This card was unfortunately cut down from its original size. It measures 6" X 4.25". This would make an excellent gift for that bicycle or baseball enthusiast in the family. Thank you for looking and good luck in your bidding!
NO RESERVE!!!
