OF

THE MORGAN SILVER DOLLAR

The morgan dollar is by far the most sought after collectors & investors coin in all of US History. (and throughout the world) . The dollar is so named after it's designer George T. Morgan, because of the infamous deal struck between miners & Congress silver mined from the comstock lode in Nevada miners used massive quantities of silver strictly for the production of the morgan dollars that and the fact that millions of Americans were unemployed and congress signed into law the Bland- Allison act of 1878 and minting of the coin was began and ran until the ore was depleted in 1921. But as a result of that more coins were struck than were needed for everyday commerce which led to stockpiling and hoarding of this huge silver laden coin and when warehousing the coins became to expensive congress ordered nearly 300 million coins being melted down under the provision of the pitman act in 1918 and all that history went up in smoke, it's effect is still being felt to this day in collecting by leaving some dates and mint marks very rare and extremely valuable.
